I began diving in 1995. I opened The Dive Shack in 2001 because I noticed there were no dive shops taking care of our divers living in East County. I became an instructor in 2001 and attained my Master Instructor rating in 2007. Instructing scuba is a passion of mine. To this day I love seeing our students' faces light up after they complete their first dive. I also enjoy traveling the world and taking our fellow divers on trips to islands in the South Pacific such as Palau, Yap, and Fiji; islands in the Caribbean such as Bonaire, Roatan, Utila; and many other destinations, including Antarctica.

First certified in Dec. 2002, I quickly knew I wanted to go Pro. I received my first Pro rating as a Divemaster in Nov. 2003, and became an IDC Staff Instructor two years later. My favorite diving activities are wreck diving and underwater photography. I enjoy diving my local San Diego waters, as well as diving remote locations in the South Pacific islands and the Antarctic Continent. One of my biggest joys in life is knowing I help people fulfill their own dream by teaching them how to dive, so they can be off on their way to their own underwater adventures.

I attended a Discover Scuba Diving event back in 2007 in Kona, Hawaii and was hooked. I enjoy sharing my love of diving so much, I became an Open Water Instructor in 2011. I have been on several trips with The Dive Shack, and like to take off on diving adventures whenever possible to locations such as the Channel Islands, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii, and Roatan; destinations in Mexico like the Socorros, Guadalupe Island with the great whites, and Loreto; and cold water diving like Whittier (Alaska). I enjoy all kinds of diving, especially shooting photos while diving.

After getting certified through the Dive Shack in 2003, I caught the fever and continued to upgrade my certifications. Initially taking the Divemaster course in 2007 simply to further my education, I found great enjoyment helping people learn to dive. Some of the spots I have dived include the Channel Islands, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, and Aruba. I don't remember doing a dive I did not enjoy. Although I am happy to dive anywhere for any reason, my favorite types of diving are wrecks and kelp forests.

I became certified as an open water diver through The Dive Shack in September of 2007. After catching the scuba bug and continuing my education, I joined the TDS Instructional Staff as a Divemaster in September 2008. I have logged over 350 dives locally in San Diego, Catalina, and Laguna Beach, as well as in such exotic locations as Fiji, Palau, Yap and Bonaire. Some of my favorite diving would include scoping out life along walls and drift diving. I love to pass the time shooting underwater videos.

I first tried diving in 2007 during a Discover Scuba Diving day at Jacks Diving Locker in Kona, Hawaii while on vacation. Once back home in San Diego, I signed up for an open water class and got certified. Since then I've enjoyed taking many PADI classes and became a PADI divemaster in 2009. I love all types of diving, but my favorite is definitely shark diving. I love to travel and have dived in Antarctica, Beqa and Taveuni (Fiji), Roatan (Honduras), and Loreto (Mexico). Closer to home I've been diving in Arizona, Lake Tahoe, the Channel Islands and of course a lot of local diving.

I first got certified in 2007 and I was hooked. I began to take class after class to take full advantage of all the dive sites and wrecks in San Diego. With all this new found knowledge, it was so easy to find fun spots to dive here. I became a divemaster to share my knowledge and passion with everyone I could. My first destination dive experience was drift diving in Cozumel , Mexico, but I hope to see more out there. What first drew me to The Dive Shack was the fact that everyone is just as passionate about diving as I am. I hope to see you there!

One day in 2008 I came to the realization that "oh my gosh my children are grown. I can do whatever I want! Finally!" So I headed for my local dive shop, The Dive Shack! Well, I can't say I took to scuba like a fish as soon I as I hit the water, but I never gave up. After Open Water, I signed up for AOW and I was hooked; no turning back. Next, I convinced my husband to get certified and off to Fiji we went. Now we're both hooked and have shared so many awesome dives together. I can honestly say I've loved every dive I've done and always look forward to the next. The friends I have met and the places I have been would not have been possible without taking that first step into the Dive Shack. The only regret is not doing this 20 years ago! Here's to the next 20 years ahead!
